Haunted Hurst Fun

Hi Everyone!

So this past weekend was certainly filled with lots of fun things to blog about.  On Friday, I went to the new Chipoltle with my friend Alicia, because everyone's been telling me how awesome it is, and I've never had it before.  Needless to say, it was pretty awesome and I can now say I've been.  After we got back, my roommates and I met up with some friends and we all went to a club hockey game because our friend plays on the team.  It was my first hockey game of the year and especially since we knew someone on the team, it was a lot of fun cheering for him, even though we lost.

And Saturday was even crazier!  Since it was a Mercyhurst Open House, as an ambassador, I had to volunteer at it.  My job was to mingle with families that came with prospective students.  It was a little daunting at first, but two ambassadors and I ended up making the rounds and it was a lot of fun talking to families and being the face of the college.  Later that afternoon, I went to the library to do some homework, and then I got ready for the famous Haunted Hurst.  Through the Ambassador's Club, some of my friends and I volunteered to dress up as ghosts in Old Main (the oldest building on campus) and scare people as they took the haunted tour.  We had costumes, face paint, masks... the whole nine yards to look scary when we jumped out at people or creepily followed. them.  Anyone who decides to come to Mercyhurst should definitely do the Haunted Hurst tour because our campus is really the perfect atmosphere for creepy Halloween festivities :) For those who aren't crazy about the scary aspect of Halloween, the Student's Activities Council (the group that made Haunted Hurst possible), had hot apple cider, cupcakes, and of course lots of candy!

Sunday, as always, was really lame because I did homework since I was so busy with the weekend.... and Sunday is always a homework day at the 'hurst, haha.

Stay tuned for this week... I don't know what it will bring so it'll be a surprise for both of us :)

Mercyhurst Ambassadors at their Finest ;)  I'm on the end, looking rather... err, dead.
