Homecoming 2010

Hi Everyone!

Well this past weekend was a lot of fun... minus the massive amounts of homework that today will bring, haha.  Friday night was a pretty good time… I finally got to meet my roommate Kylie’s parents who came to visit all the way from Florida!

On Saturday, I woke up to my lovely phone alarm going off at 7:45 in the morning.  Let me tell you, I couldn’t even guess the last time I woke up that early on a Saturday morning, but it was worth it in the end.  My friend Paige (who’s also a blogger!) and I signed up to sell raffle tickets and even though it was early, we had a good time people watching and sipping our Starbucks drinks to keep warm, while selling tickets to help benefit the Ambassadors Club.  After that, I gave three families a tour of our campus, which I always love doing, but it was soooooo cold!  So cold that when I went back to my apartment to grab a quick lunch/got ready to work for Hurst Fest, I put my Uggs and a long sleeved shirt on!  On Friday, it was literally over 90 degrees and in less than 24 hours, it dropped at least 40 degrees; that’s Erie for ya.

But let me tell you, Hurst Fest was so much fun!  We had a petting zoo, a bunch of inflatables, popcorn, music, and candy apples.  There were also so many sports games going on: field hockey, football, soccer, ice hockey… one of my friends took her parents to all of the games! It’s a great weekend to spend time with your friends and family.  My parents even came to visit me while I was outside working, and it was so nice to see them.  At first I got to work at the bungee run, but then I ended up working at an inflatable obstacle course.  Although I was signed up to work, I did manage to find some time to play around :) I challenged my friend to the obstacle course, which I lost at miserably but it was still fun.  Here are some pictures of me throughout the day.

The Classy, Crazy Pic :)

It was a ''thumbs up'' kinda day

After, I headed back to my apartment, and my two roommates and I were with all of our parents and we got ready for the boy’s water polo game.  We met up with some of our other friends at the game and the boys beat their opponents 10-1.  We were all really hungry and tried going to Olive Garden, but it was a two hour wait, so we ended up going to Panera Bread and Coldstone.  We were all so exhausted from such a busy, but fun day, so we called it a night when we got back from dessert.

I hope you all got an idea of how fun my weekend was and hopefully you all will be able to experience a Hurst Fest of your own :)
