Hi Everyone,
Sorry that this blog post is a little delayed... this past week with midterms has been pretty crazy, and then Fall Break! So although I haven't blogged in what seems like forever, I have a lot to share with you guys :)
I said my goodbyes to the 'hurst Wednesday after my science class, Environmental Problem Solving. And let me tell you, what a way to end the day. I'll be perfectly honest and say that I really don't like science (thank you Liberal Arts core!). But once I sat down, before class even started, I was literally clock watching like nobody's business. I felt like an elementary school kid on the last day of school, waiting for summer vacation; I could literally taste Fall Break! But once the clock hit 1:50, I left the class and immediately started packing so that my roommate Kylie and I could head back home. 4 1/2 hours later, after a failed attempt to visit the Jello Museum (yes, I said a Jello Museum!) we met my parents at one of my favorite restaurants (their treat, of course!) and we then made the rest of the trip home.
I was really excited to show Kylie, my roommate from Florida, what home was for me and what living in Central New York was like. She's never seen a farm, and she certainly saw plenty of them during her short visit with me! I basically took the time to"culture-ize" her... my mom and I took her to a small, Amish country store, we drove her around town, and ate lunch at a local restaurant. It amazes me that the smallest things were such a big deal to her, because she's just not used to it, like the leaves changing colors, picking apples, and seeing cows everywhere you drive!
